The Greatest Mathematicians of the 20th Century

The people who teach mathematics at Centre enjoy working with their students, in the classroom, in the office, wherever. We are available for conferences, for rendering aid, for offering advice in all aspects of life, and for general shooting-of-the-breeze. Faculty and interested students often meet to "put their heads together," solving interesting problems and sharing notes. This term we are gathering for lunch on Thursdays at the glass window end of Cowan and we'd welcome any students who would like to join us for food and conversation.

The menu at the mathematics spring picnic is fried chicken, various salads, cole slaw, potato chips, soda, and lots of baked beans. We hold the picnic in one of our homes, so various little kids are always running around and mixing things up. We also spend time playing outside: croquet, frisbee, and a "math" relay race have been recent favorites.
