What is a Rho Gamma?
Rho Gammas are Recruitment Guides, sorority women who have temporarily disaffiliated for a semester to help first-year and upperclassmen women through recruitment. They are meant to provide an unbiased source of advice and support during the fall semester, winter term, and formal recruitment.
Duties of a Rho Gamma
Each of the first-year halls is assigned at least two Rho Gammas. Throughout the fall semester and winter term, Rho Gammas will meet with the women of their hall periodically, and will be available to accompany them to recruitment events. During formal recruitment, Rho Gammas will take the women to the houses and meet with them after each night. They will deliver bids on Sunday morning and will run to the houses with the new members of the Greek community after the bid cards have been opened.
