Social
Cooperation for furthering fraternity life, in harmony with its best possibilities, is the ideal that shall guide our fraternity activities.
-The Panhellenic Creed
When most people think of Greek life, they think solely of its social aspect. Being Greek is about so much more, but none of that detracts from the social aspect. Greek women find family, support, sisters, and friends within their chapter.
But friendships among sorority women aren’t limited to one’s own chapter. Since all Greek organizations have a ritual basis, they share many of their values and ideals. Bonds among Greek women form across chapter lines, which is what “being Panhellenic” is all about.
As the Panhellenic Creed states, the Panhellenic Council is meant to foster “cooperation for furthering fraternity life.” In light of this, the Panhellenic Council works to put on events that the entire Greek community can enjoy
● This year the Panhellenic Council has worked to further intrafraternalism and promote individual chapter's philanthropies by: offering free drinks to sorority women who participated in the ADPi's Chicken for Charity Event at Zaxby's, sponsoring teams for TriDelta's Tennis Tournament, and sponsoring runners for Theta's Jingle Bell 5K.
● If you have any suggestions for an all-Greek or Panhellenic social event please e-mail our Vice President of Chapter Relations, Sara Small.
