IMPORTANT ACADEMIC DATES AND DEADLINES FOR THE 2011-2012 ACADEMIC YEAR

FALL TERM
August 29	Monday	First day of classes.
September 2	Friday	Permission to add a class requires permission of the instructor after this date.
September 9	Friday	Last day to add a class or drop a class without a grade entry on the permanent record. Withdrawal from a class after this date will result in a grade of WP or WU. Normally, students cannot drop below full-time enrollment (12 credit hours).
September 9	Friday	Last day to register for a course on a pass/unsatisfactory basis. Only juniors and seniors are eligible except in the case of applied music courses. See the pass/unsatisfactory form for other restrictions.
October 12	Wednesday	MIDTERM. Any withdrawal from a course after this date requires the approval of the Associate Dean and will be granted only for unavoidable cause such as illness or death in the family.
October 18	Tuesday	Mid-term Grades due in the Registrar's Office
December 2	Friday	Classes End
December 5-9	Monday-Friday	Final Examinations
December 13	Tuesday	Final Grades due in the Registrar's Office 3:00 p.m.
December 15	Thursday	Final Grades Available to Students on the Web
CENTRETERM
January 3	Tuesday	Classes begin
January 4	Wednesday	Last day to add a class.
