The minutes 10-25-04
Direct to you, the top secret exec minutes…
Our showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show is going to be on Friday at 9 PM in the Warehouse. There’ll be a costume contest, snackages, and props for the movie, so come dressed for a party! They’ve got the PR up (look for the big red lips in Cowan) and are ready for the Timewarp, so everything seems to be under control.
Our next event is going to be the Spades Tournament, which I believe is on Nov. 6th. More planning for this to come at our next meeting on next Monday, the 1st.
Speaking of next Monday, you really need to come to the meeting, because we’ve got something fun planned for member appreciation =). And you won’t have to stick your hand in ice water to get it! Next Monday we’ll also be finalizing the tshirts (how ‘bout them hot dogs?), and we’ll also be discussing Carnival bands. We’ve got a list of bands we can afford, and we’re planning on sending an all-campus survey to get that list down to 5. In all-SAC we’ll rank those 5 to our liking, and hopefully we’ll be able to get started on the contract before Megan (from Advisor Quest 2004) gets here.
Just some housekeeping notes for those of you who are currently or will be committee chairs in the future, which really means all of you. Here are some things to keep in mind while you're a committee chair. First of all, don't forget to delegate responsibility. As the chair of an event you are in charge of the organization of that event, but that doesn't mean you have to do everything. Let the other members of your committee feel like they're important, and let them handle some of the responsibility. Also, please remember to show Thom your budget proposal with a simple breakdown of items that you intend on buying. Also remember that the less money you spend now, the more money we can spend later _insert name of preferred inflatable here_.
Thanks for being so great in the month of October! Let's keep it up! =D
See y’all next Monday,
Christina
