The Student Development and Engagement Alliance was conceived to help ACS
students gain insights into environmental issues,
focus on environmental citizenship, and make sustainable life choices.
Between 2005 and 2008, the Student Development and Engagement
Alliance will support students who seek external internship
opportunities, providing enabling funds for unpaid or semi-paid
internships associated with the environment.
In addition, the SDE Alliance will support student teaching
assistantships, providing an opportunity for student engagement in the
teaching process, offering experience and reinforcement for teaching
assistants, more ample instruction for students, and a broader set of
instructional possibilities for course instructors.
