Kathy Jones, RN
Director of Parsons Student Health Center

Kathy joined Parsons Student Health Center in August 2004 the Registered Nurse. She assumed the role of Director in the fall of 2008. A native of Lincoln County, Kathy and her husband Kerry have two daughters, Jamie and Lindsay. She has a B.S. in Education from Eastern Kentucky University. After losing a friend to AIDS, she gained an appreciation for a skilled and compassionate nurse and chose to make a career change. After earning an Associate degree in Nursing from Midway College in 2000, she worked at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center as an RN in the Critical Care Unit and Emergency Room. Kathy enjoys spending time at the lake, being with family and friends, photography and music, especially classical and jazz. |

Amanda Goodwin
Physician Assistant

Amanda, a Danville native joined Centre College in August 2008. She attended Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem North Carolina where she earned her BA in psychology and a minor in French. She then received her MA as a physician assistant from the University of Kentucky. Amanda comes to us from Kentucky Clinic in Adolesccent Medicine where she has been for the past two years. She also worked in several emergency rooms as a physician assistant. Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband and son, Abe. Special interests include sports medicine, obesity, and women's health.

Marsha was born and raised in Springfield, KY. She married her high school sweetheart, Perry, and they have four children, Michelle, Nick, Daniel, and Lucas. Marsha has been very involved with school activities of her children and serves on the schools Team Counsel. She and Perry like to travel and spend a lot of time with their family.

Kathy Miles, LMFT, CADC
Counselor
Kathy joined Centre College in September, 2005, after over 30 years experience working in a variety of settings in Mental Health and Substance Abuse. She attended Centre, and has a Master's degree in Ed. Psych. and Counseling from the University of Kentucky, with further graduate study in Family Therapy at U.K. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and a National Certified Counselor. She and her husband, Preston, have two sons, John and Ben. Kathy enjoys gardening, walking, cooking, and serving on community and church boards. Kathy shares, “ It is always a joy to work with Centre students, and a continuing pleasure to serve as a team member of the Parsons Health Center staff”.

Brian Ellis, MD
Attending Physician
Dr. Ellis was raised in Benton, Kentucky and is a graduate of Marshall County High School and a 1986 graduate of Centre College. He attended medical school at Medical College of Georgia in Atlanta, graduating in 1990. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Virginia-Chief Resident in 1993. Dr. Ellis then moved to Danville and joined Danville Family Physicians. Dr. Ellis is also the team physician for Centre Athletics. He and his wife Laurie have three sons, Baker, Samuel, and Joseph. He is an active member of Grace Presbyterian Church and leads a weekly Bible study on campus. In his spare time he enjoys boating, waterskiing, and running.

Jonathan Clark, MD
Attending Physician
Dr. Clark is a Danville, Kentucky native and a 1993 graduate of Georgetown College. He attended medical school at the Universtiy of Kentucky College of Medicine, graduating in 1997. He completed his Internship/Residency at Spartenburg Regional Medical Center, Spartenburg, South Carolina in 2000. Dr. Clark then returned to Danville and joined Danville Family Physicians. He and his wife Lori-Ann have three children, Sam, Coleman, and Edie. He is an active member of his Church and enjoys spending time with his family. In his spare time he enjoys hunting and fishing.
