Kentucky River Watershed Watch Database
Beginning in 1998, Kentucky River Watershed Watch (KRWW) volunteers began sampling waterbodies throughout the Kentucky River Basin . Sampling events occur throughout the spring, summer and fall and are typically conducted to test for herbicides and pesticides; pathogens; chemicals and nutrients; and metals. If high readings are found during the pathogen testing event, sites are normally sampled a second time during the summer.
This online database contains data results collected by KRWW samplers since 1999. To access data, click on the colored watershed section of the map that is of interest to you. Please note that the initial map can be viewed with or without a satellite photo overlay by clicking on the buttons in the upper right-hand corner of the map.
After clicking on one of the larger watersheds, you can zoom in on specific KRWW monitoring points. By selecting one of the red site markers, you can access information about the sampling site location and the site-specific data.
